The life behind the design.

The History

Hannibal Barca was the Carthaginian commander who carried the Second Punic War into Italy. In 218 BC, he led a multinational army and war elephants across the Alps, then defeated Roman forces in a series of campaigns. His double-envelopment victory at Cannae became one of military history’s most studied battlefield maneuvers.

The Legacy

Hannibal represents strategic imagination—the willingness to reject the obvious route, endure extraordinary difficulty, and create an advantage where none appears to exist.

The front uses a commanding portrait and the phrase “Carthago Delenda Est.” The back transforms the Alpine crossing into a monumental procession, with elephants, mountain passes, and the Warkind sword anchoring the scene.
