The History

Crazy Horse was an Oglala Lakota leader who resisted the invasion of Lakota homelands during the wars of the northern Plains. He became one of the best-known Native leaders associated with the Lakota victory at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876. He surrendered with many Oglala followers in 1877 and was killed at Fort Robinson later that year.

The Legacy

Remembered for courage, independence, and devotion to his people, Crazy Horse represents resistance rooted in responsibility rather than personal fame.
